The "Picturesque" style includes a number of styles related to the romanticized past: Gothic Revival, Italianate, Queen Anne, Romanesque,, Neo-Classical, and Swiss Cottage. From 1840-1900 many architects and landscape architects designed both buildings and landscapes in picturesque settings. John Nash's images are a good example of his skills in many styles.
